Instructions to setup parsing fo the clanbattles

What is this?

This is probably the main reason why you are here.

This is the tutorial that will let us get all the information related to the clanbattles of your clan.

The tutorial will teach you how to get the your own player cookie. Once you submit it in your account page, it will let us simulate your account and get access to the data we need to provide this service.

Depending on the realm your clan is in, direct yourself to the clanbattle's history page and login (Select Remember me for longevity):

A new panel should appear on your screen. After that, you should click "Network" tab on this new pannel.

Proceed by clicking on a small button, which is "Fetch/XHR" to filter the clutter a bit.

On the top of the page you see the clan team rating dropdown which should either say "Alpha" or "Bravo". Click there and change to the one which is not selected. It does not matter which one it is.

Go back to the developer tools panel. You should see a new line on the list. It should look something like "battles/?team=X" where X is the number of the new rating selected. Click there on that row and it should reveal a panel to the side (ot beneath for smaller screens).

In this new panel, you should see a tab "Headers". Click there and scroll down until you see "Request Headers".

Look for "Cookie" beneath the "Request Headers" accordion. It has a very long text, which will look like gibberish to most people. You will need to copy this value to the Account Page, paste it on the big textarea. Save it.

Recommendations

Even if you need to be high role clan player to setup you can, and should, use a secondary account, with no special role, in the clan to extract information.

You do not have to do it but it should give you peace of mind if you do it.

What can we do and how can we misuse it? Basically, assume we see and do what the person whose information is extracted from can see and do and do most of the same tasks. We believe the worst thing we can do to this account is to use the resources.

What can we not do? Even if you are a commander, we can not rename your account or your clan account for these actions require password confirmation. We can not steal your account and change the login access. Once again, it requires confirmation via either email or password.

For this method, it does not matter if you have 2-factor authentication so I recommend you activate it too, again, for the sake of peace of mind.

Lastly, this method is dependent on cookie expiration time so you may need to repeat the process after some time. In testing, cookie persisted over half a year, only becoming obsolete when Wargaming made everyone's cookie expire during the Team Consumables fiasco.
